Description

New selection variety from the Dagestan Fruit Crop Experimental Station (DSCFC), seedling from open pollination of the variety Subhanya. Authors: Batyrkhannov S. G., Pokrovskaya A. S., Malinovskaya N. V. Introduced into the State Register since 2000 for the North Caucasus region.

Medium-sized tree, medium-growing. Round, spreading crown, medium density, medium foliage. Medium, straight, reddish-brown shoots; young shoot medium thickness, tip reddish, numerous small white buds on one-year shoots; medium-sized protrusion under vegetative buds. Good branching of one-year shoots, producing 2-3 waves of premature shoots within one year. Bud groups, up to 4 or more buds in leaf axils, lateral generative, central vegetative, medium-sized, some are reserve buds. Vegetative buds terminal or central in groups, small, pointed, pressed against the shoot. Generative buds round, slightly convex, visible space between bud and shoot. Leaves medium-sized, broad, round, slightly pointed, dark green, smooth, blade concave in a boat shape, curved downward, leaf apex sharply pointed, base pointed, leaf margin serrated-crenate, straight, crenate at base. Petiole long (32-35 mm), medium, pigmented, glands 4, paired, small. Flowers pale-pink, medium-sized, solitary, stamen below anthers, petals round, moderately open. Calyx cup-shaped, pedicel medium.

Fruit size medium (40 g), medium uniformity, round, apex slightly elongated and pointed with a "nose", base with small indentation, medium, ventral suture medium, prominent, sometimes cracks, pedicel short, medium, easily separates from branch and fruit. Main fruit color yellow, covering color red, blurred stripes. Skin medium, weakly hairy. Flesh yellow, tender, cavity color uniform with flesh, juice colorless, sour-sweet. Fruit appearance attractive 4.6 points; flesh sugary, balanced acidity, characteristic flesh aroma, fruit taste rating 4.6 points; pedicel easily separates from fruit; fruits transportable, store 10-12 days. Technological use for making jams, jellies, dried fruits (22%), candied fruits, rating 4.6-4.7 points. Fruits contain dry matter 13.85%, sugars 9.61%, acids 1.75%, ascorbic acid 9.9 mg/100g. Stone free, easily separates from flesh, medium weight 5% of fruit mass, oval with elongated base, smooth, dorsal suture open at base 1 cm, surface finely rough, light-brown. Kernel sweet.
Flowering period medium — April 14-24; ripening late (August 1). Age of fruiting onset at 6 years. Young variety, but trees planted in 1962 still fruit normally. Flowering and fruiting type on spurs and mixed one-year shoots, some generative buds are reserve, flower and fruit drop after frost — confirmed in 1999, 2000, 2001. Partially self-fertile.
Shoot damage from winter frosts not observed. Generative bud damage at -25°C on March 10, 1985, was 48%. Drought resistance high. Disease damage: monilial burn — 1 point, clasterosporiosis — 2 points. Damage from other diseases and pests since 1997 not observed.
Average yield of fruit from 1984-2001 was 103.6 centners/ha, maximum 200 centners/ha. Suitable for intensive orchards. Used to increase yield and extend fruit consumption and processing season.

Advantages of the variety: high annual stable yield, high technological quality of fruit, resistance to anomalies — secondary flowering after frost. Relative disease resistance.
Disadvantages of the variety: medium fruit size, fruit cracking in rainy weather.
