Apple UEB 47021

Czech Breeding for Modern Orchards

The UIB 47021 apple variety, developed by the Institute of Experimental Botany of the AS CR, is a promising new addition officially registered in Ukraine in 2026. This winter variety is well-adapted to various agro-climatic zones, ranging from the Steppe to the Polissya regions.

Compact Growth and Productivity

The main advantage of UIB 47021 is its weak tree vigor, making it an ideal choice for high-density intensive orchards. The spreading canopy and branched growth habit allow for efficient space management and easier maintenance. The variety bears fruit on both short and long shoots, ensuring consistent and stable yields.

Fruit Characteristics

The fruits of UIB 47021 are notable for their attractive appearance and versatility. While the height is medium, the fruits have a larger diameter, resulting in a flattened-globose shape. The primary yellow skin color is complemented by a significant red overcolor, making the fruit visually appealing. The absence of heavy greasiness or ribbing makes these apples easy to handle, store, and transport.

Why Choose UIB 47021?

• Ease of Management: Weak tree vigor minimizes pruning and harvesting labor costs.
• Market Appeal: The vibrant red blush on a yellow background ensures high demand in the fresh produce market.
• Versatility: Suitable for both direct consumption and processing purposes.
