Late-ripening variety obtained at the Scientific Research Institute of Horticulture of Siberia named after M. A. Lisavenko by crossing in 1963 the Ermolayeva Early with the Yellow Pepper, Lithuanian Pepin, Welles, and Pepin Chernenko (pollen mixture). Breeders: I. P. Kalinina, T. F. Kornienko, N. I. Dorokhina, G. V. Chupina. Undergoing State Testing since 1994 on State Variety Trials in Siberia, widely distributed in private gardens of Altai Krai, officially registered since 2004.
Trees are medium-sized, with a pyramidal, dense, compact crown formed by strong, few, vertical branches with large, numerous fruiting spurs and buds, mainly bearing fruit on them.
Shoots are short, straight, round in cross-section, brown, with short internodes, densely hairy. Leaves are medium-sized, green, with finely serrated edges, oriented upward, hairy on the underside. Petioles are long with small lanceolate stipules.
Fruits are medium-sized (65-92 g), one-sided, flat-round, slightly ribbed. Surface is smooth. Main color is yellow, with a strong dark-red blush, faintly streaked, covering most of the fruit. Pedicel is short, medium thickness, straight. Calyx is narrow, slightly rusted. Receptacle is medium, closed, above a small funnel-shaped nectary tube. Seed chambers are closed. Central cavity is small.
Flesh is creamy, medium density, fine-grained, juicy, slightly acidic-sweet, good flavor. Chemical composition of fruit: total sugars — 9.7% (9.33-10.16), titratable acids — 0.65% (0.47-0.83), tannins — 124 mg/100g (104-145), ascorbic acid — 10.4 mg/100g (4.02-16.6), P-active substances — 289 mg/100g (104-475), pectin substances — 4.62%.
Fruits can be stored in storage for up to 75 days. Variety is universal in use, valuable for home gardens.
Fruit-bearing begins on the 4th-5th year. Yield is average, annual. Winter hardiness of trees is medium. After freezing in critical winters, trees recover quickly. Highly resistant to scab.
Advantages of the variety: early fruiting, regular fruiting, high commercial and consumer qualities of fruits.
Disadvantages of the variety: requires pruning and crown reduction.
