The Redkutskoye Sweet apple tree is a medium-sized tree with a moderately dense, spherical crown. This winter variety is characterized by high cold resistance and resistance to scab, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the North Caucasus region. Trees begin fruiting at an average age, with stable and high yields reaching 140–250 centners per hectare for 8–11-year-old trees. The variety is well-adapted for intensive fruit cultivation, especially on semi-dwarf rootstocks.
The fruits of the Redkutskoye Sweet apple have a round-conical shape with smooth, golden-yellow skin adorned with a blurred orange-red blush on half the surface. The average weight of the apples is about 148 grams, with a maximum of up to 165 grams. The flesh is yellowish-white, medium-density, juicy, tender, with a pleasant wine-sweet flavor and a mild aroma. The apples have a slightly acidic-sweet taste and retain their qualities until May, allowing them to be used during winter and late winter periods.
The variety exhibits mixed fruiting, with fruits forming on spurs, buds, and fruiting shoots. The apples are of medium size, with a shallow, wide calyx and a small, medium-depth and width plate. The stem is of medium length and thickness. Due to its qualities and resistance to diseases, the Redkutskoye Sweet variety is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a stable and high-quality apple harvest with good taste characteristics and long storage life.
