RED GIFT

The 'Red Gift' apple variety is an early-summer intensive variety bred at the North Caucasus Federal Scientific Center of Horticulture and Viticulture. The tree is semi-dwarf with an oval drooping crown and a spur-type fruiting habit, which facilitates care and harvest collection. The fruits of this variety are characterized by above-average size, reaching 160–180 grams, and feature a bright crimson skin coloration on a greenish background. The flesh is white or light cream, dense, and aromatic, with a dessert-like sweet-and-sour taste, making them appealing to consumers.

The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 30–40 tons per hectare in mature trees, and good resistance to winter frosts and drought, which is particularly important for regions with variable climatic conditions. Red Gift tolerates transportation well, which expands its commercial application possibilities. The fruits ripen at the end of June and can be stored for up to three months, allowing for use over a prolonged period after harvest.

For successful cultivation, planting is recommended on well-drained soils with irrigation provided during drought periods. Pruning is carried out in spring to form a proper crown, which improves fruiting and tree health. The variety is suitable for moderate and warm climatic zones, including southern regions of Russia, such as Krasnodar Krai, due to its resistance to scab and other unfavorable conditions.
