Seedling of 2nd-3rd generation from own stock, self-pollinated. Selected in 1988 by A.K. Skvortsov and L.A. Kramarenko. Breeding institution — Main Botanical Garden. Included in the State Register in 2004 for the Central region.
Medium-growing tree — up to 4 m tall, with a rounded, slightly spreading, dense crown. One-year shoots are branched. In autumn, leaves turn red, yellow, and burgundy. Trees have large flowers 3.7-4 cm in diameter with pinkish veins, very beautiful flowering.
Fruits weighing 15-20 g, round, slightly flattened on the sides, skin bright yellow with speckled blush, slight downy covering, so fruits slightly shiny. Flesh is dense, orange, good taste, slightly sour-sweet, sensory rating 4 points. Chemical composition: dry matter 14%, sugars 8.3%, titratable acids 2%, potassium content 380 mg/100g. Pit separates easily, rather large, its proportion relative to fruit weight can reach up to 16% (average 11-13%), which is the main drawback of this variety.
Fruits of this variety are suitable for fresh consumption, and jams and compotes made from them are of high quality. Storage life is good.
Distinguished by the earliest ripening period — late July to early August. High yield.
Winter and cold hardiness are good. Fruit-bearing on all types of shoots. Grafted plants enter fruiting on the 3rd-4th year after grafting.
