"Garden Fantasy" is a perennial vine with a lush, bush-like form and dense, variegated foliage, cultivated in our nursery since 1997. Its climbing stems easily twine around supports and trellises, creating picturesque compositions on any terrain. The plant boasts excellent health: it is resistant to diseases and pests, possesses high winter hardiness, and does not require special efforts with proper care.
The fruits of this variety offer a unique taste: the sweet, sugary flesh resembles fresh strawberries and grapes. The berry aroma is fruity with pineapple notes, emphasizing their juiciness. Each berry weighs 3‑5 grams, making them ideal for making jams, compotes, and beverages, as well as an excellent substitute for traditional desserts.
As a member of the Actinidia genus, "Garden Fantasy" inherits the common traits of actinidia: a perennial vine with decorative leaves that change color from bronze at the beginning of growth to dark green and pinkish-red after flowering. Flowers appear in late June–early July, white or pink, fragrant like jasmine, while fruits are harvested by September in green or golden-yellow form, rich in vitamin C. The plant is dioecious, so for fruiting a combination of female and male plants in a ratio of approximately 4–5:1 is required.
Thus, "Garden Fantasy" is not only a decorative element of the garden but also a reliable source of tasty and healthy berries, capable of delighting gardeners and fresh fruit lovers from the third or fourth year after planting.
