Description Kiwi
Actinidia arguta – a high-yielding vine plant that reaches a height of 8 to 12 meters and quickly enters fruiting already by the third-fourth year after planting. Support is required for growth: an arch, pergola, or wall, as well as tying to the surface. Saplings are usually placed in pairs with a pollinator due to the dioecious nature of the plant.

The berries of Actinidia arguta are large, elongated-cylindrical in shape, with a smooth light-green skin and a mass of 14-16 grams. The flesh is delicate, sour-sweet with a slight pineapple aftertaste; fruits ripen in mid-September. The yield of one adult bush can reach from 15 to more than 50 kilograms, which makes the crop particularly profitable for commercial cultivation.

The plant is characterized by high frost resistance – withstands temperatures down to -30 °C and easily withstands winter conditions in Ukraine. Actinidia arguta is not susceptible to serious diseases and pests, so it can be considered an ecologically clean crop. Fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and processing into dried fruits, jam, and other products. For optimal growth, it is best to place the plant in sunny areas, protected from wind, with drained fertile soil.
