The variety was obtained by selection from seedlings of the northern Triumph variety, resulting from open pollination. Originator: All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Selection. Medium-growing tree with a spreading, raised crown. Bark on the trunk is smooth and brown. Branches are brown, bare, with few buds, yellow in color. Fruit wood forms on two- to three-year-old branches as clusters and spurs, and on one-year-old growth of varying lengths. Buds are arranged in groups of three, occasionally singly, conical in shape, distant from branches. Leaves are large, egg-shaped with a long, pointed tip. Leaf blade is smooth and matte. Leaf margin is doubly toothed. Petioles are short and early-falling. Petiole is very long, thick, brownish-red. Flowers are medium-sized, white. Calyx shape is cup-like. Stigma is higher than stamens.
Fruits are closely spaced within the crown and on one-year-old branches. Average fruit weight is 33.0 g, maximum 40 g, height 30.6 mm, diameter 32.4 mm. Fruit shape is flat, oval-rounded. Ventral suture is fine and barely visible. Pedicel is very short, medium thickness. Fruit color is yellow with small carmine spots on 1/4 of the surface. Flesh is yellow, medium juicy, mealy, with a pleasant sweet-sour taste. Fruits contain 11.8% dry matter, 6.15% sugars, 1.88% acids, 8.8 mg/100 g vitamin C. Fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and technical processing. Transportability is good. Taste rating of fruits is 4.2 points. Stone is free, separates easily from flesh, oval-rounded, pointed. Kernel is sweet.
Trees begin fruiting in the third year of life. The variety is capable of annual fruiting. High winter and frost resistance; medium bud hardiness. Flowering and fruit ripening are medium. Relatively resistant to fungal diseases and pests. Average yield is 146.5 centners/ha, maximum 166.5 centners/ha.
Advantages of the variety: high winter and frost resistance, high recovery ability, high yield.
Disadvantages: flower bud freezing in severe winters, relative resistance to fungal diseases and pests.
