Description Melitopolsky Luchisty (Chervnevyy)
Apricot Melitopolsky Luchisty — this is a medium-early summer variety, developed by Ukrainian scientists by crossing the varieties Narodnyi and Verdersky in the middle of the 20th century. The tree is fast-growing, reaching a height of 3-5 meters, forming a broad, rounded, moderately dense crown. The plant is self-pollinating, fruiting begins on the 4th-5th year after planting. The variety is distinguished by good winter hardiness and resistance to spring frosts during flowering, as well as sufficient resistance to fungal and bacterial diseases.

The fruit is large, weighing 45-55 grams, oval-round in shape with slight compression on the sides. The skin is thin, golden-yellow-orange, with intense blush on the sun-exposed side, covered with a slight downy texture. The flesh is juicy, medium density, not fibrous, rich orange in color. In flavor, it harmoniously combines sweetness and acidity, with a pleasant apricot aroma. The stone is medium-sized, easily separates from the flesh, and contains a sweet kernel.

The variety is distinguished by high yield and large fruit size, making it attractive for cultivation in regions with a mild climate. Apricot Melitopolsky Luchisty has excellent market appearance and good transportability, ensuring its versatility — from fresh consumption to processing. High taste qualities are confirmed by a tasting score of 4.3 out of 5.
