Alpha cherry is a medium-early Ukrainian variety ripening from July 10 to 15. The tree has vigorous growth, reaching 3.5-4 meters in height, with a dense pyramidal crown that becomes rounded in mature trees. Flowering is late, and fruiting begins on the 4th-5th year after planting. The variety has high winter hardiness and disease resistance, ensuring stable yields and resilience even under adverse climatic conditions.
Fruits of the Alpha variety are round, weighing approximately 4-4.5 grams. When fully ripe, they develop a dark red color with a shiny, firm skin. The flesh is the same color, sweet and juicy, with a large stone. The pedicel detaches easily from the twig and fruit, facilitating harvest. Berries do not drop off and hold well on branches, making them convenient for harvesting and transport.
Alpha cherry is suitable for both private gardens and commercial plantations. Thanks to its dessert-like flavor, the fruits are consumed fresh, as well as used for making juices, liqueurs, and jams. High frost resistance and self-fertility make this variety a reliable choice for gardeners aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality yield.
