Botanically, Daucus jordanicus is characterized by a deeply taprooted system designed for deep water extraction in rocky terrains. The foliage is typically finely divided, with stems and leaves often demonstrating xerophytic adaptations to minimize water loss.

The plant requires well-drained, nutrient-poor, and often calcareous soils to flourish. It does not tolerate waterlogging and performs best in open, sunny habitats where competition from taller, invasive vegetation is minimal.
