Zucchini Lungo bianco

Italian Breeding for Greenhouse Cultivation

"Lungo Bianco" is a complex hybrid zucchini officially registered in 2025, bringing European quality standards to the greenhouse vegetable sector. Developed by Italian breeders, this hybrid is specifically optimized for producing early, high-quality yields in protected environments.

Marketability and Culinary Use

The standout feature of this hybrid is its snow-white cylindrical fruit. With an excellent length-to-diameter ratio, these zucchinis offer a clean, aesthetic appearance, making them a top choice for supermarkets and premium produce markets. The tender skin and firm flesh make the harvest ideal for:

• Fresh consumption: perfect for salads and light appetizers.
• Culinary processing: the uniform structure is excellent for frying, stewing, and vegetable medleys.
• Transportation: the bush-type plant with moderate branching simplifies harvesting, while the firm structure of the young fruit ensures durability during transit.

The plant features a compact habit, allowing for efficient use of greenhouse space. The lack of spines on the petioles significantly eases maintenance and harvesting, minimizing the risk of fruit damage. The green ring inside the flower corolla highlights its status as a high-tech hybrid, while the moderate green intensity of the stems and leaves indicates balanced crop development.
