Description Nikita
The Nika spring barley variety is a medium-early, high-yielding variety intended for cultivation in the Western Siberia region. The vegetation period ranges from 72 to 89 days, allowing for a stable harvest within optimal timing. The average yield of the variety reaches 4.49 t/ha, while under intensive cultivation, maximum indicators can reach 9.59 t/ha, indicating the variety's high productivity and adaptability to various growing conditions.

Nika is valued for its malting qualities, making it in demand in the food industry. However, the variety has a certain susceptibility to diseases: it is susceptible to loose smut and stem rust, and is highly susceptible to powdery scab, helminthosporiosis, and powdery mildew. This requires the application of appropriate agro-technical and protective measures to ensure crop health and maintain high grain quality.

To protect crops from weeds, the use of a herbicide with the active substancenicosulfuron at a concentration of 240 g/l is recommended. The preparation is used in the form of a suspension concentrate with a consumption rate of 0.16-0.2 l/ha and is effective against annual and perennial grasses, as well as some annual broadleaf weeds. A comprehensive approach to growing and protecting the Nika variety ensures the production of high-quality barley with good technological characteristics.
