PRIMORSKIY 98 is a medium-maturity spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) variety with a growing period of 65-85 days, belonging to the nutans type. Plants of this variety reach a medium height of 58 to 90 cm, have a thin, elastic stem, and an upright bush with dark green leaves. The grain is elongated-elliptical, large, and straw-yellow in color; the mass of 1000 grains varies from 38 to 54 grams, indicating high-quality seed material.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to heat, drought, and lodging, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, and Middle Volga regions. PRIMORSKIY 98 also shows weak susceptibility to diseases such as powdery mildew, dwarf rust, and loose smut, which contributes to stable yields and reduced costs for plant protection.

This barley is a grain-forage variety with protein content up to 11.8%, making it valuable for both feed purposes and the brewing industry.
