Summer variety developed at the Buryat Fruit and Berry Experimental Station. Breeders: L. I. Dubrovskaya, I. A. Novoselova. Obtained by crossing 'Ranetka purpurovaya' with 'Borovinka'.
Approved by the State Variety Testing Committee in 1989. Regionally recommended throughout the Republic of Buryatia since 1997. Widely grown in collective and private gardens of Buryatia, in small quantities in Chita Oblast. Undergoing state variety testing in Western and Eastern Siberia.
Tree bushy, medium-sized with a rounded, moderately dense crown. Becomes more spreading with age. Moderate leafiness. Bark on trunk and main scaffold branches yellowish-brown. Branches curved, sparsely arranged, tips pointing upward. Fruit set concentrated, primarily on simple and compound clusters.
Shoots purplish-brown, hairy, medium thickness, straight, round in cross-section. Buds medium-sized, numerous. Buds medium-sized, elongated, hairy, pressed against the shoot.
Leaves dark green, medium size, elongated, base rounded. Leaf margin serrated in a toothed pattern. Blade leathery, medium thickness, folded upward. Surface smooth, glossy, underside moderately hairy. Petiole medium length and thickness, weakly colored at base. Petiolules lanceolate, large, reaching mid-petiole in length.
Flowers medium-sized, bowl-shaped, white, stigma styles at same level or slightly elevated above stamens.
Fruits (see image) very small, one-dimensional, slightly flattened, equilateral, smooth. Main color yellowish-pink, covering color dark red, very strong, intense, continuous. Skin smooth with waxy coating at pedicel end, slightly rusted. Pedicel short, thin. Calyx small. Receptacle medium-sized, wide.
Flesh pinkish with red speckles, medium juiciness and density, flavor tart-sweet with mild aroma, good.
Fruit attractive. Chemical composition of fruit: 13.3% sugars, 1.1% titratable acids, 16.2 mg/100g ascorbic acid, 164 mg/100g P-active substances.
Universal variety, good taste and technological qualities.
Self-sterile. Good pollinators: 'Yermolayev 23' and 'Seyanets Kravchenko'.
Trees begin fruiting at 4 years, annual yields. At full fruiting, yield per tree is 24 kg, up to 60 kg maximum.
Advantages of the variety: valued for high yield, winter hardiness, and good taste and technological qualities.
Used in breeding.
