Winter variety obtained at the Krasnoyarsk Experimental Station of Fruit Growing from crossing Laletinno with Welis. Breeders of the variety: N. N. Tikhonov and A. S. Tolmacheva.
The variety was registered in the Irkutsk Oblast, Khakassia, Tuva, Buryatia, Krasnoyarsk Krai since 1993.
Grows in farms of different zones of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Khakassia, mainly among amateur gardeners.
Tree — semi-dwarf, branches early and well. Crown medium density, round, drooping. Bark brown. Bears fruit on young wood up to 3 years. Fruit formation type — spear-shaped, short and long fruiting shoots.
Shoots are weakly jointed, arched, brownish-brown.
Fruits (see illustration) small, round, on thin short pedicels. Main color at harvest time hidden under purplish blush. Pit small, sometimes sunken. Calyx persistent, open or closed. Subcalyx tube medium, cup-shaped.
Flesh greenish, sometimes with red veins, juicy, slightly sour-sweet with a spice. Chemical composition of fruits: dry matter — 12.6% (16.5); sugars — 8.1% (6.20-9.96); titratable acids — 0.42%; ascorbic acid — 20.1 mg/100g; vitamin P — 123 mg/100g; tannins — 0.095%.
Exceptionally early-fruiting variety. Often fruiting on grafts. Fruit-bearing abundant. When harvest is delayed, fruits drop off; harvesting period from August 20 to September 10. Storage life of fruits under ground storage until January, sometimes until February 15-20.
Pollinators: Mana, Alenushka, Pepinchk Krasnoyarsky.
Tree and main branches are winter-hardy. Regenerative capacity high. Drought resistance medium. Requires watering in dry years. Resistant to scab.
Advantages of the variety: winter hardiness, early fruiting, winter consumption of fruits, resistance to scab, high ascorbic acid content.
Disadvantages of the variety: fruit drop during ripening, insufficient drought resistance, small fruit size.
