CHUPINSKOE

The Chupinskoe apple variety is a medium-sized tree with a spreading and medium-density crown, reaching a height of about 3.5 meters by the age of 16. This variety was bred at the M.A. Lisavenko Siberian Horticulture Research Institute in Barnaul through free pollination of the Altai Phoenix variety and is recommended for amateur gardening in the forest-steppe zone of the Altai Krai. The tree is distinguished by high winter hardiness, capable of withstanding frosts down to -40°C, and also has high resistance to scab and other diseases, making it a reliable choice for regions with harsh climatic conditions.

Chupinskoe apple fruits ripen in the second decade of September and can be stored for up to 90 days, allowing them to be used fresh during autumn and early winter. Apples have a light yellow main color with a blurred red blush, smooth shiny skin with small subcutaneous dots. Fruits are of medium size, weighing from 60 to 100 grams, flat-round in shape with slight ribbing. The flesh is creamy in color, finely granular, of medium density, very juicy and aromatic, possesses an excellent sour-sweet taste, which received high tasting evaluations.

The Chupinskoe variety begins to bear fruit from the fifth year of life, while the yield from one tree can reach up to 60 kg. Apples contain an increased amount of vitamin C – up to 18 mg per 100 grams of fruit, making them healthy. Fruits are well-suited for processing, yielding quality jellies and juices. Thanks to the combination of high winter hardiness, disease resistance, excellent taste, and good storage capacity, the Chupinskoe variety is an attractive option for gardeners seeking a stable and tasty harvest.
