Strike

The watermelon variety Strike is an early or mid-early variety with a growing season ranging from 67 to 82 days. The plant is long-vining with strong foliage coverage and good covering ability, which contributes to high ecological plasticity and stress resistance. This allows for successful cultivation of watermelons in various regions and obtaining stable yields with proper agrotechnology.

Strike watermelon fruits have a round-oval shape and reach a mass of 10 to 12 kilograms or more. The rind is of medium thickness, bright lime-green in color with dark green stripes, giving them an attractive appearance. The flesh is bright red or pink, juicy, tender, medium density, without cavities, with a dry soluble solids content of about 12-13%. The taste of the fruits is evaluated as good and excellent, sweet and juicy, making them in demand among consumers.

The variety is characterized by high yield – with proper care, up to 8 kilograms of fruits can be harvested from one square meter. Watermelons maintain their commercial quality for 20-30 days after harvest, possess excellent transportability properties. Moreover, the variety is resistant to diseases such as fusarium and anthracnose, which reduces the risk of yield losses and facilitates plant care.
