Prismatica F1 watermelon is a mid-early hybrid of the Crimson Sweet type, developed by American breeders from United Genetics. The maturation period is approximately 72-75 days from planting to harvest. The plant is strong, with long vines and a well-developed root system, ensuring high productivity. The hybrid grows particularly well on light, well-aerated soils, preferably after cereal or legume crops, and is ideal for cultivation in southern regions. It exhibits high stress resistance, disease tolerance, and responsiveness to agronomic practices, allowing yields of up to 60 tons per hectare. The fruits of Prismatica F1 are large, uniform in size, weighing from 11 to 16 kg, and oval-shaped. The fruit skin is dense, glossy, dark green with characteristic light stripes. The flesh is characterized by intense red color, high sugar content (sugar content over 12%), juiciness, and uniform texture without fibers. The seeds are small and in small quantity. Thanks to its dense rind and resistance to cracking, watermelons retain freshness for a long time, do not overripen in the field, and withstand long-distance transportation, making them an excellent choice for fresh consumption and distribution. The Prismatica F1 hybrid prefers open, sunny areas without shade and develops better on light, well-aerated soils. It exhibits high resistance to pathogenic bacteria, fusarium, anthracnose, and rot diseases, significantly reducing the risk of crop losses. The flesh of the watermelon crunches when cut, contains no fibers, and has excellent storage quality, allowing the fruits to maintain their marketable qualities for a long time.
