Description Ogon'ok
Watermelon Ogon'ek is a medium-maturing variety that ripens within 70-85 days after transplanting seedlings. The plant features medium-height stems, dense foliage, and a well-developed root system. This variety is heat-loving and drought-tolerant, preferring well-lit, warmed areas with loose and moist soil. Ogon'ek forms up to five fruits of uniform size, making it convenient for cultivation on dacha plots and gardens.

The fruits are round with a uniformly dark green color without stripes. The weight of one watermelon ranges from 1.5 to 5 kg, depending on growing conditions. The skin is thin but tough, not prone to cracking, ensuring good storability and resistance to transport. The flesh has a very sweet taste with sugar content (Brix) of 10-11%, and contains numerous small brown seeds.

The Ogon'ek variety exhibits high resistance to diseases, particularly fusarium and anthracnose, significantly simplifying care and increasing yield. With proper cultivation, yields can reach 17-25 tons per hectare. The watermelon is suitable for immediate consumption after harvest and can also be used for pickling due to its excellent taste and appearance.
