Description Livia
Livia F1 watermelon is an early and high-yielding hybrid of the Crimson Sweet type, developed by the French company Clause. The vegetation period is approximately 60-65 days when grown from seedlings, allowing for early harvest. The plant features strong vegetative mass, dense foliage, and a well-developed root system, providing reliable nourishment and protection of fruits from sunburn. The hybrid is resistant to major diseases such as anthracnose and Fusarium wilt, and it tolerates stressful conditions well, making it suitable for both small garden plots and commercial cultivation.

Fruits of the Livia watermelon have a round-oval shape with a medium-thick, strong rind, adorned with evenly spaced dark and light green stripes that do not crack. The average weight of one fruit is 10-12 kg, though the first fruits may be larger. The flesh is vibrant, bright red, crisp, juicy, and very sweet, with a sugar content of 10-12%. There are no cavities inside, and the seeds are small. Thanks to the thickness of the rind and the 'drought tolerance' gene, Livia watermelons retain their marketable and flavor qualities for a long time during storage and transportation.

For cultivation, choose open, well-lit, and wind-protected areas. The hybrid responds well to increased agronomic practices, allowing yields exceeding 100 tons per hectare. Seeds can be sown directly in the open ground at a rate of 6-8 thousand per hectare, but seedling cultivation is preferred. Livia F1 watermelon is valued for its high fruit quality, disease and stress resistance, and excellent flavor, making it popular in fresh markets.
