Watermelon Foton

The Watermelon variety Photon is a mid-early hybrid with a vegetative period of approximately 68-75 days. The fruits have an oval-long shape with a bright green rind adorned with thin green stripes. The watermelon flesh is red, very tender and juicy, with a high sugar content (10-11% Brix), ensuring excellent taste qualities. The average fruit weight varies from 4 to 7 kg, with 1-2 fruits forming on one plant. The rind is thick, which contributes to good storability and preservation during transport.

The Photon variety is distinguished by high resistance to diseases and drought, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. It is suitable for cultivation on heavy soils and can be grown both in open ground and under temporary coverings. The recommended planting rate is 6-9 thousand plants per hectare with a single-row or double-row planting scheme, which ensures optimal development and fruiting.
