Crimson Sweet F1 is an early-maturing Japanese hybrid belonging to the Crimson Sweet variety. The vegetative period is 60-70 days from sowing to harvest. The plant is vigorous, with a well-developed root system and significant vegetative mass, ensuring resistance to stressful conditions and diseases such as anthracnose and fusarium. SENSEI F1 is characterized by high productivity, forming 1-3 large fruits per plant.
The fruits of this watermelon have a round-oval shape with a dense, thick green rind featuring dark stripes. Average fruit weight ranges from 7 to 12 kilograms. The flesh is intensely red, crisp, aromatic, and sweet, with a sugar content (Brix) of 11-12%. The fruits exhibit high resistance to cracking and retain their flavor and market qualities exceptionally well during long-term storage and transportation over long distances.
Watermelon SENSEI F1 can be grown both in open fields and under cover. The recommended planting density is 6,000-8,000 plants per hectare, with row spacing of 1.8-2.1 meters and plant spacing of 0.6-0.7 meters. Harvesting is done manually, preserving fruit quality. This hybrid is suitable for fresh market sales, as well as for pickling and canning, thanks to its excellent flavor and market appearance.
