The variety was created at the North Caucasus Regional Institute of Horticulture and Viticulture (Krasnodar) through targeted selection from intensive crossing of the varieties Nadezhnaya and Ramon Oliva. A promising medium-ripening variety, included in the State Register since 2002 and approved for commercial use in the North Caucasus region.
Tree of medium growth vigor, with a rounded-oval crown shape, raised, medium density, and well-leafed. One-year shoots have a silver-gray hue of medium intensity. Buds are medium-sized, vegetative conical, generative oval, moderately deviated from the shoot. Leaves are inversely egg-shaped, dark green, without anthocyanin, medium size (17 x 8), curved upward, apex long-acuminate, base acute or broad-angled, double-toothed margin, upper surface shiny, lower surface slightly hairy. Petiole long, medium thickness, colored throughout its length, glands located on the petiole in pairs, small, round, pigmented. Flowers are arranged in inflorescences of 2-4, large, dish-shaped. Petals are broadly oval, white, freely arranged, calyx cup-shaped, calyx lobes without teeth, stamens long and short, stigma long, positioned both below and above the anther. Fruit set is concentrated on cluster branches and bases of growth shoots.
Fruits are broadly round (2.5 x 3.0 x 2.4), large, average fruit mass 8.5 g, maximum 10.0 g, apex rounded, pit wide, medium depth, skin color dark red, nearly black at full ripeness, flesh dark red, juicy, medium density, juice dark red. Stone is medium-sized, oval, easily separates from the flesh. Peduncle medium length and thickness, detaches from the fruit with medium force, dry detachment.
Fruits are attractive, aesthetic rating 5 points, high taste quality (taste evaluation 4.9 points). Contains 13.1% dry matter, 8.9% sugars, 0.8% acids, 10.0 mg/100g ascorbic acid. Fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and modern processing methods.
Medium-early flowering variety (April 15-20) and medium-ripening (June 15). Tree enters full fruiting stage in the 5th year after planting. Self-sterile. High yield in favorable years, during full fruiting yield per tree reaches 50-60 kg, average yield 8.7 t/ha.
Shows sufficient winter hardiness during winter, moderately resistant to spring frosts. Resistance to main fungal diseases is relatively high (infection by coccomyces 1.0-1.5 points, moniliosis 0.5-1.0 points), unaffected by aphids, resistant to cherry fly.
Advantages: large fruit size, high fruit quality and marketability, good yield and adaptability.
