Description RADA
The vegetable pea variety Rada is a mid-season variety with a period from emergence to the beginning of the harvest of about 65-70 days. The plant is powerful, bushy, 50-70 cm high, resistant to spring frosts down to -5°C and does not require support due to its sturdy stem. Pods are large, straight, 9-10 cm long, containing 10-12 sweet, bright green peas of cylindrical shape that retain their green color when boiled and have high juiciness and increased sugar content, not starch. Peas differ in synchronized ripening and high commercial yield up to 13 t/ha.

Variety Rada is universal in use: its pea is suitable for canning, freezing, and fresh consumption. It is characterized by good taste qualities, high vitamin C content (31.2 mg per 100 g), protein (28.1%) and dry matter (20.35%). The plant is resistant to most pea diseases and is not prone to lodging, which facilitates care and cultivation. Seeds germinate at temperatures from +4°C, the optimal temperature for growth is about 18°C.

For sowing, it is recommended to sow peas from the end of April to the end of May, burying seeds 3-4 cm deep in heavy soils and 5-6 cm in light soils. Variety Rada is valued for its frost hardiness, low maintenance requirements, and stable crop quality, which makes it an excellent choice for cultivation in open ground.
