VARVARA-KRASA

Varvara-Krasa is a late-flowering tulip variety belonging to the garden group of lily-flowered tulips. The plant reaches a height of about 50 cm and is characterized by narrowly elliptical light-green leaves. Its scape is sturdy and straight, approximately 40 cm long, which ensures wind resistance and ease of cutting.


The flowers are simple, measuring up to 9 cm in height and 4.5 cm in diameter. They have a light white hue with a bright purple-pink edge, making them attractive for both decorative landscaping and floristic compositions. The aroma is mild, but the flowers retain their appearance for 10–14 days after harvest and remain fresh for more than a week during transport.


The bulbs are oval, reddish-brown in color, with good storage capacity and a multiplication coefficient of about 3.1. The variety is resistant to fusarium and has medium resistance to the virus of mottled leaf and botrytis. Winter hardiness and heat tolerance are high, allowing its use in various climatic conditions. Thanks to these characteristics, Varvara-Krasa becomes a popular choice for both garden landscaping and cutting for bouquets.
