Tulip White Midget

Practical Insights on White Midget Cultivation

White Midget is a staple for growers who value operational efficiency and uniformity. As a Triumph tulip, it provides the predictability required for large-scale production, whether in greenhouse forcing or open-field cultivation.

Technical Management and Maintenance

• Growth Habits: Its short stature is a major advantage for commercial operators, as it eliminates the need for growth regulators, saving time and input costs. The plants grow evenly, which simplifies harvest logistics.
• Durability: The stems are sturdy and do not require staking or support. This resilience makes the crop highly resistant to lodging, even in adverse weather conditions.
• Crop Quality: The pure white petals are clean and elegant, but they do require precise irrigation. Avoiding overhead watering is key to maintaining the pristine condition of the blooms and preventing spotting.

Being a mid-season variety, White Midget integrates well into standard production schedules. The bulbs are reliable, producing healthy offsets for future cycles. By minimizing the need for manual support and chemical height control, this variety offers an excellent balance between high visual impact and low maintenance labor.
