Tulip White Marvel

Predictability in Commercial Forcing

White Marvel is highly valued in professional floriculture primarily for its predictability. Belonging to the Triumph tulip class, this variety demonstrates industry-leading resistance to stem lodging. In a commercial greenhouse environment, this translates to minimal losses during harvest and transit, providing a sturdy, upright bloom that requires no additional staking or support nets.

Operational Insights

Working with this hybrid requires strict adherence to temperature protocols, as its mid-season bloom time relies on a standard cooling duration. Experienced operators note the cultivar's high responsiveness to calcium-based fertilizer programs, which is critical for developing a dense, durable petal texture. The pure white color of the bloom does not exhibit greening under proper storage conditions, significantly simplifying logistics and extending shelf life; the flowers maintain their aesthetic appeal for up to three weeks when kept in climate-controlled coolers.
