Tulip Sylvia van Lennep

Aiming for an Early Start

The Silvia van Lennep tulip is the go-to choice for those looking to achieve results as quickly as possible after the snow melts. Belonging to the Fosteriana group, this variety demonstrates exceptional resilience: the bulbs adapt remarkably well to temperature fluctuations during the spring season. Under intensive management, this variety shows high growth stability, which is essential for planning spring sales or professional landscape projects.

Performance Metrics

• Timing: Early flowering minimizes the time assets are 'frozen' in the soil.
• Dimensions: The medium height of the stem ensures excellent resistance to lodging, even in windy spring conditions.
• Visual Appeal: The delicate pink hue of the petals is highly sought after in the floral industry for its aesthetic purity.

When handling this variety, it is important to remember that rapid early development requires diligent soil preparation starting from the autumn. The drainage system must be flawless: Fosteriana tulips do not tolerate waterlogging, which can lead to basal rot. Maintenance is straightforward—timely weeding and fertilizer application at the beginning of the growth cycle will ensure a uniform harvest with high-quality, dense blooms.
