Tulip Prince of Sanseviero

Operational characteristics

Working with the 'Prince of Sanseviero' tulip requires an understanding of its specific developmental cycle. As an early double variety, it demands precision during the forcing process, particularly concerning humidity control, as dense buds can trap moisture. The compact height of this cultivar is its primary operational advantage: it provides excellent stem rigidity, meaning no auxiliary support systems are required during cultivation, significantly reducing labor inputs.

Technical cultivation aspects

• Durability: The low-growing habit ensures high resistance to lodging, even in windy outdoor environments.
• Post-harvest handling: The robust stems and dense pink petals allow for efficient machine harvesting and long-distance transport without significant bruising.
• Growth Management: Being a mid-season flowering variety, it integrates well into standard crop rotation schemes, requiring minimal maintenance beyond standard soil and hydration management.

For farm operators, the 'Prince of Sanseviero' offers high space-efficiency. Its compact nature allows for higher density planting, optimizing yield per square meter. Maintenance is straightforward, focusing on standard disease prevention during the flowering window to ensure a high-quality, uniform crop that meets commercial standards.
