Tulip Green Star

Durability and Aesthetics for Commercial Flower Production

The Green Star tulip, belonging to the sophisticated Viridiflora class, is a top choice for commercial growers who prioritize both visual impact and agricultural reliability. Known for its distinct green-and-white petal coloration and late-season bloom, this hybrid is designed to withstand the rigorous demands of professional cut flower production.

Practical Applications for Growers

• Commercial Cut Flower Trade: The Green Star is prized for its long, sturdy stems and impressive vase life. It is specifically selected for late-season marketing, filling a crucial gap in supply when other varieties have already finished blooming. Its structural integrity ensures minimal losses during post-harvest handling and long-distance logistics.
• Landscaping and Institutional Planting: Due to its high resistance profile and late flowering time, this variety is highly sought after for premium landscape projects that require long-lasting, low-maintenance aesthetic appeal.

Agronomic Performance and Disease Resistance

Profitability in tulip farming depends heavily on the health of the bulb and plant. Green Star excels in this regard, showing significant innate resistance to anthracnose, downy mildew, and powdery mildew. This reduces the need for frequent chemical interventions, lowering operational costs and supporting integrated pest management goals. Its robust growth habit makes it a predictable performer, providing consistent bulb yield and plant vigor across different growing environments.
