Tulip Judith Leyster

Classic elegance for your garden

The Judith Leyster tulip is a distinguished member of the Triumph class, widely recognized as the gold standard for landscape design and professional forcing. Unlike early simple varieties, this tulip features a sturdy, tall stem capable of withstanding spring winds, making it a reliable choice for exposed garden beds.

Key features of the variety

• Unique coloration: The petals display a pristine white base complemented by delicate pink brushstrokes, creating an elegant porcelain-like aesthetic.
• Shape retention: The goblet-shaped bloom maintains its structural integrity for a long period, resisting premature opening in direct sunlight.
• Blooming period: Classified as a mid-season bloomer, it bridges the gap between early spring bulbs and later multi-flowered varieties perfectly.

Judith Leyster stands out from similar varieties due to its high resistance to bulb diseases common among the Triumph group. It is an ideal selection for border plantings or creating dense, carpet-like visual effects. It is important to note that for optimal performance, the plant requires full sun exposure; in partial shade, the stems may grow excessively leggy, and the intensity of the pink hue may fade.

This variety is an excellent choice for both gardening enthusiasts and those looking for a low-maintenance, reliable cut flower. The strong stems of Judith Leyster ensure longevity in spring arrangements, maintaining freshness in a vase for an extended time.
