Phlox STAR DUSY

Technical Potential of the 'Star Lace' Phlox

The 'Star Lace' Phlox (Phlox drummondii) represents a focused selection achievement by Russian experts, designed for stability in landscape ornamental applications. The variety is built on high biological adaptability, allowing it to maintain vigorous growth cycles within varying temperate climate conditions.

Morphometric Features and Variability

The key technical attribute of this hybrid is the plasticity of its inflorescence size. Depending on the fertilization schedule and soil quality, the flower diameter can range from 2 to 5 cm. Practically, this allows for managed growth, where targeted nutrient intake facilitates the development of larger, more robust blooms while maintaining structural integrity of the petals.

• Life Cycle: A dedicated annual, optimized for a complete and efficient vegetation cycle.
• Growth Architecture: The plant is engineered for compact, upright forms with high resistance to lodging.
• Utility: Specifically suited for garden beds where high-density coverage is required to create uniform floral patterns.

From an agronomical perspective, 'Star Lace' serves as a reliable tool for professional landscaping where predictable output is paramount. Developed by originators E. A. Sytov and E. G. Kolesnikova, the variety prioritizes physiological resilience, ensuring that the visual impact remains consistent even during temperature fluctuations throughout the active blooming phase.
