Tulip Fostery King

Genetic Architecture and Phytosanitary Protection

The «Fosteri King» tulip is a result of selective breeding focused on creating a high-performance Darwin Hybrid. The core of this variety design is commercial stability, ensuring high output under both open-field and greenhouse conditions.

Disease Resistance as a Technical Standard

A critical engineering objective addressed in this hybrid is the mitigation of soil-borne pathogen risks. Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum) and verticillium wilt represent primary threats to bulbous crops. Fosteri King possesses a robust natural immunity profile against these pathogens. Practically, this reduces the need for heavy fungicide application and minimizes bulb rejection rates during storage and after forcing cycles.

Morphology and Cycle Efficiency

As an early-flowering variety, Fosteri King allows growers to capture the most profitable early-season window. The plant features high stem morphology combined with excellent stalk rigidity, ensuring high transportability and resistance to lodging during extreme weather conditions.

• Type: Darwin Hybrid.
• Color: Intense red.
• Timing: Early-flowering.
• Resistance: High tolerance to Fusarium and Verticillium wilt.

These specifications position the hybrid as an optimal choice for professional operations aimed at consistent high-quality cut flower yields with minimal production volatility.
