Lily LEBEDINOYE OZERO

The Aesthetics of Restraint: 'Swan Lake' Lily

In the world of floriculture, the 'Swan Lake' (Lebedinoe Ozero) variety occupies a niche for those who value noble classicism over flashy exoticism in lilies. Created by experts at the I.V. Michurin Federal Scientific Center, this variety embodies a selection tradition that prioritizes resilience and purity of form over fleeting trends.

Key Features and Plant Architecture

The defining characteristic of 'Swan Lake' is its soft, muted pink hue, which resists sun bleaching far better than many vibrant alternatives. Unlike numerous modern imported hybrids, this variety does not aim to overwhelm the garden with intense fragrance. Its scent is intentionally subtle, making it an ideal choice for allergy sufferers and those incorporating the flowers into interiors where a strong aroma would be intrusive.

• Cut Flower Longevity: The dense petals retain turgor for an extended period, allowing bouquets to remain fresh without the need for specialized preservatives longer than the class average.
• Landscaping Potential: The variety exhibits excellent clumping habit. In decorative flowerbeds, it creates dense color blocks that, when properly planted, require minimal staking.

Who Is This Variety For?

'Swan Lake' is a find for professional florists seeking reliable material for romantic arrangements, as well as for gardeners who prefer low-maintenance landscapes. In temperate climates, the variety shows predictable winter hardiness, distinguishing it from temperamental international novelties. It does not demand constant fertilization or complex winter protection, remaining an aesthetically flawless focal point throughout its blooming period.
