Tulip Dirk Scheringa

Engineering and Morphological Profile of 'Dirk Scheringa'

The 'Dirk Scheringa' tulip, classified within the Triumph group, represents a selection goal focused on balancing early vegetative maturity with superior stem rigidity. The technical advantage of this hybrid lies in its ability to maintain structural integrity and vertical orientation of the bloom, even when reaching its maximum height.

Technical Specifications

• Stem Architecture: Despite its significant height, the plant exhibits high mechanical tissue strength, which effectively mitigates lodging during spring wind gusts.
• Pigmentation Stability: The contrast between the red and white segments is achieved through stable pigment expression during the early flowering phase, ensuring color intensity even under fluctuating spring temperatures.
• Bloom Geometry: The petal attachment points are configured to maintain the characteristic 'glass' shape throughout the entire bloom duration, preventing premature opening caused by high solar radiation.

For commercial growers, 'Dirk Scheringa' serves as an optimized tool for early-season production. Its biological cycle allows for rapid maturity, while the high density of the petal tissue ensures excellent resistance to mechanical impact during logistics and provides extended vase life for the final consumer.
