Description Spika
The winter triticale variety SPIKA is a universal plant intended for grain production and can be used in the food industry. It is of medium length, has a semi-bristled ear, and shows weak-to-medium anthocyanin coloration of the coleoptile. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 37 to 51 grams, indicating good grain density and quality. Flowering time is medium, which allows for effective planning of agricultural measures.

SPIKA is distinguished by high resistance to major diseases, such as root rots, powdery mildew, brown rust, and septoria, which significantly enhances crop stability. The plant is resistant to lodging, which helps maintain grain quality and facilitates harvesting. The variety yields high results in various regions, including the Central, North-Caucasian, and Volga regions, reaching up to 86.2 centners per hectare, exceeding standard indicators.

To protect SPIKA triticale crops from a wide range of dicotyledonous and grass weeds, the use of a sulfonylurea-based herbicide in the form of water-dispersible granules is recommended. The product is effective against weeds such as quackgrass, meadow foxtail, ox-eye daisy, and starry flower, and can be applied at temperatures from +5 °C. This ensures reliable crop protection and contributes to obtaining a high-quality harvest.
