Kotigoroшko — a winter triticale variety, specially developed for the spirit distillation sector. This variety is characterized by high starch content (69.5–70.6%) and low protein content (9.3–11.3%), making it optimal for alcohol and distillate production. According to research conducted at the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agriculture of UAAN", Kotigoroшko ranks among the best triticale varieties for this purpose, alongside Aristocrat, Lyubomir, and Molfar.
Yield studies of the Kotigoroшko variety conducted in 2023–2024 showed significant productivity increases when mineral fertilizers at the rate N105P90K90 were applied. Specifically, grain mass per plant reached 3.68 g, and 1000-grain mass amounted to 47.5 g. Using such fertilization nearly doubled the yield level of the variety: from 3.81 t/ha without fertilization to 7.89 t/ha with mineral fertilizers.
Thus, the Kotigoroшko variety is a promising choice for farmers oriented toward spirit distillation. It combines high yield, grain quality with optimal starch content, and efficiency when using mineral fertilizers, ensuring stability and high productivity in agricultural production.
