Tomato 'Welcome Neighbor' is a mid-late maturing indeterminate variety with tall stems reaching up to 2 meters in height. The plant exhibits vigorous vegetative growth and is suitable for cultivation in both glass and plastic greenhouses as well as in open ground. The fruiting period ranges from 115 to 125 days after germination. For successful cultivation, seedlings should be sown at the end of February – beginning of March, pricked out at the stage of the first true leaf, and transplanted into greenhouses at the end of April – beginning of May. Plants must be staked and trained into a single stem, with removal of suckers and lower leaves, as well as pinching off the growing tip at the end of the vegetative period. Optimal planting scheme — 40x60 cm. Tomato 'Welcome Neighbor' fruits have a flat-round, deeply ribbed, and multi-chambered shape. Average fruit weight ranges from 250-350 grams, while larger fruits from lower clusters may reach 400-450 grams. Fruit color is a rich golden hue, giving them an attractive appearance. Flesh has a delicate sweet flavor with a mild acidity and a strong tomato aroma. The fruit skin is strong and resistant to cracking even under drought conditions, contributing to yield stability. Tomato 'Welcome Neighbor' is valued for its high yield, large fruit size, and ease of cultivation. Up to 15 kg of fruit can be harvested from a single plant. Due to its flavor and appearance, the fruit is widely used fresh for salads and slicing, as well as suitable for winter preservation — making sauces, ketchup, pasta, and lecho. Additionally, the variety exhibits good resistance to diseases and stress conditions, making it a reliable choice for farmers and gardeners.
