Tomato NOVOSIBIRSKY RED

Stable Yields in Challenging Climates

When planning a tomato crop in regions with unpredictable weather, you don't look for exotic varieties—you look for reliability. The "Novosibirskiy Krasniy" from the Agros Agrotechnological Firm is a classic choice that solves the problem of both home preservation and commercial logistics. In the field, this variety performs like a workhorse: a sturdy bush, predictable ripening periods (100–120 days), and consistently high-quality yields.

Cultivation and Care

This variety belongs to the determinate and semi-determinate types, which significantly simplifies the cultivation process. You won't have to spend hours on endless pruning, which is common with indeterminate varieties. The plant has a controlled growth habit, allowing for efficient use of space in the field or in low tunnels. The cuboid-plum shape is more than just aesthetic; it is a practical advantage for canning, as the tomatoes pack tightly into jars without splitting during processing.

Logistics and Performance

The main advantage that farmers appreciate in the "Novosibirskiy Krasniy" is its transportability. On a scale of "delivered to the market without loss," this variety scores top marks. The firm skin allows the fruits (weighing from 80 to 200+ grams) to maintain their marketability during storage and long-distance transport. The originators of this variety, Pavel Potapov and Yana Zizina, developed this cultivar with strong tolerance to temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for both open-field cultivation and greenhouse production.

• Timing: mid-season, provides a stable harvest within the specified window.
• Maintenance: low pruning requirements, responds exceptionally well to standard fertilization protocols.
• Usage: ideal for whole-fruit canning and fresh market sales.

If you are looking for a variety that remains robust regardless of weather changes and delivers a consistent red crop without extra effort, this is a proven selection from the Agros Agrotechnological Firm.
