Dzhamala

Djamala sweet corn is an early Sh2 (supersweet) hybrid from the Ukrainian breeding company Mnagor. The vegetation period is 73-75 days, allowing for harvest within a short timeframe. The plant reaches a height of 180-190 cm, has an orderly shape and good growth vigor. Djamala is resistant to lodging, stress factors, and adverse weather conditions, and also possesses immunity to diseases such as fusarium, helmintosporiosis, and smut.

The cylindrical ears of corn reach a length of 22-23 cm and contain 12-14 rows of light-yellow kernels with high sugar content — approximately 20-22%. The kernels have an attractive bright-yellow color and excellent taste, making the hybrid ideal for fresh markets, culinary use, canning, and freezing. The harvest retains freshness and flavor even after long-term storage and thermal processing.

To protect plants from fungal diseases, seeds are treated with contact-systemic fungicides Maxim XL and Vitavax 200FF, and technologies based on effective microorganisms (EM-technologies) are applied to enhance drought resistance. The hybrid forms 1.5-2 ears per plant even under dense planting and standard agronomy, ensuring stable and high productivity. Djamala demonstrates adaptability to growing conditions and care, as well as good transportability and long-term storage without loss of market appearance.
