Description Signora
Tomato Signora F1 is a mid-season, tall, indeterminate hybrid developed by Italian breeders of the company Esasem. This variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected environments, including glass greenhouses. The plant is adaptable to various growing conditions and tolerates temperature fluctuations, allowing for the use of temporary film coverings during minor frosts. It can be grown either by seedlings or direct sowing into the soil, making it versatile for different agronomic conditions. The fruits of tomato Signora have a round-oval shape with a diameter of 90-100 mm and a weight up to 300 grams. They possess a bright red, deep color and a multi-chambered structure (up to 8 chambers). The flesh is juicy and meaty, with wall thickness of about 10 mm, ensuring high fruit density. This structure contributes to excellent preservation of the fruit's appearance during transport and storage. Up to 7 fruits form on one cluster, and short internodes of 5-7 cm allow for more clusters per trellis, increasing yield. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity and resistance to several diseases, including verticillium wilt, fusarium, tomato mosaic virus, nematodes, leaf curl virus, and yellow leaf curl virus. Recommended planting density is 2-3 plants per square meter. Tomato Signora F1 is widely used in cooking for salads and tomato juice, and is appreciated for its pleasant sweet flavor and aroma, making it an excellent choice for fresh consumption.
