Tomato VOLARE

Why «Volare» is the choice for professional growers

When it comes to cultivating tomatoes for industrial processing or long-term storage, yield stability becomes the top priority. The Italian breeding from Isi Sementi S.P.A, represented by the «Volare» variety, demonstrates an approach where operational efficiency is paramount. This is a determinate plant type that behaves predictably in field conditions, requiring minimal maintenance.

Agronomy and reliability

From an agronomist's perspective, «Volare» is highly valued for its uniform ripening. A 120–130 day maturity period allows for precise harvest scheduling. The 20–40 gram round fruits fit the classic «cherry» format, which is ideal for mechanical harvesting. Crucially, the fruits maintain their shape well and possess excellent transportability, which is vital when supplying processing plants or distribution centers.

Storage as a competitive advantage

The shelf life of this hybrid deserves special attention. These tomatoes can be stored for over 30 days without losing their market appearance or skin firmness. This eliminates the pressure for immediate sales: if the market price dips, you can comfortably wait for a better rate without the risk of losing batch quality. The red color remains vibrant, and flavor profiles are preserved even after long transit periods.
