The tomato variety Volgogradets is a medium-maturing determinate variety with a maturation period of about 105-110 days after germination. Plants are medium-height, reaching 60-70 cm, with round, slightly ribbed, bright red fruits weighing 80 to 120 grams. The fruits have dense flesh with a red color and a sweet taste with a slight acidity, making them suitable for fresh consumption as well as for processing and canning.
The Volgogradets variety is characterized by high yield — up to 11-12 kg per square meter or about 6 kg per plant. The fruits are very dense, ensuring good transportability and long-term storage without loss of quality. The plants are drought- and heat-tolerant, with high resistance to diseases and pests, which simplifies care and increases yield stability even under adverse climatic conditions.
For growing the tomato Volgogradets, open ground with possible temporary covering is recommended. Seedlings are sown in March–April, and transplanted into the ground in May, at a seed depth of 1.5–2 cm. This variety is suitable for both amateur and commercial cultivation due to its low maintenance requirements, stable yield, and excellent taste qualities.
