Tomato HONEY DROP

Why "Medovaya Kaplya" is a choice for pros and home gardeners

The "Medovaya Kaplya" tomato by Gavrish has become a classic for those seeking the perfect balance between dessert flavor and high agricultural performance. As an indeterminate variety, it requires proper training and pruning, but it rewards the grower with exceptional yield and fruit quality.

Cultivation and growing practices

To achieve the best results in either a greenhouse or open field (with support), consider these key factors:

• Maturity: This early-ripening variety matures in 90–100 days. This allows for an early harvest, which is crucial for early market access.
• Plant care: Being an indeterminate type, the plant needs staking and pruning. We recommend maintaining 1-2 stems to ensure optimal nutrient distribution.
• Durability: A standout feature is the shelf life; the fruits can remain in good condition for 30+ days after harvest, which is rare for cherry-type tomatoes.

Practical application in the field

What is the real benefit for a commercial grower? "Medovaya Kaplya" is the benchmark for the cherry segment. Primary usage scenarios:

• Direct Sales: With a fruit weight of 20–40 grams and a bright yellow color, these tomatoes are in high demand among consumers who prioritize sweetness.
• Logistics: The firm skin provides excellent transportability. You can rest assured that your produce will reach the shelf without damage.
• Culinary Use: Perfect for fresh salads and canning. The egg shape looks aesthetic in jars, while the firm flesh prevents cracking during thermal processing.

If you need a reliable variety with predictable results, "Medovaya Kaplya" by Gavrish is the "gold standard" for producing premium dessert tomatoes.
