RESHMA

Tomato variety Reshma is a medium-early, indeterminate, tall variety with a period from emergence to fruiting of 115-120 days. The plant is recommended for cultivation in plastic and glass-covered greenhouses, as well as in plastic tunnels. For successful seedling cultivation, supplemental lighting is required, transplanting is performed at the stage of the first true leaf, and planting in greenhouses occurs at the age of 50-55 days, usually at the end of April. Sowing for seedlings is recommended at the end of February – beginning of March, followed by training the plant into a single stem and mandatory tying within a few days after planting. Planting scheme is 40x60 cm. The first flower cluster forms above the 11th-12th leaf, and subsequent clusters form every three leaves. Tomatoes of variety Reshma have an egg-shaped form, bright red color at maturity and light green color in immature state. They are smooth, firm and evenly spaced both within the cluster and throughout the plant. Fruit mass varies from 60 to 80 grams. Due to its high taste qualities, tomatoes are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for whole-fruit canning. The commercial yield of the variety reaches 10.2 kg per square meter. The variety is characterized by resistance to a number of diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus, cladosporiopsis and fusarium, which increases its reliability in cultivation. It is recommended to form the plant by removing all suckers and pinching off the growth point at the end of the vegetation period, leaving 7-8 clusters for optimal fruiting. Reshma is included in the State Register of the Russian Federation and is intended for cultivation under plastic coverings in various regions of the country.
