Tomato Reliable

Yield Stability Under Stress

The «Nadezhny» variety is a breeding solution from the Vavilov Institute of Plant Genetic Resources, aimed at commercial vegetable growing where predictability and plant hardiness are the keys to success. Its indeterminate growth habit requires trellising and regular pruning, but this labor input is rewarded with high productivity — under optimal agronomic practices, yields range from 70 to 100 tons per hectare.

Agronomic Advantages

• Pathogen Resistance: Genetic protection against Tobacco Mosaic Virus, Fusarium, and various viral diseases reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications.
• Harvesting and Logistics: Thanks to its firm skin, the fruits possess excellent transportability. This makes the variety an optimal choice for farmers supplying retail chains with long-distance logistics.
• Storage and Shelf Life: The fruit retains its commercial quality for over 30 days post-harvest, allowing for flexible market entry and avoiding the risks of price crashes during market saturation.

«Nadezhny» performs exceptionally well in both film greenhouses and open fields. Its oblate-round shape and classic red color make it a versatile product, highly demanded for both the fresh market and the processing sector. The variability in fruit weight (from 80g to over 200g) allows producers to sort and package the crop according to specific market demands, from the HoReCa sector to pre-packaged retail.
