Rembo

The tomato REMBO is a medium-ripening, tall variety with strong bushes reaching 150 to 170 cm in height. The fruits are flat-round or oval in shape and feature a striking coloration: green when immature, turning yellow-orange upon ripening, with red and purplish-brown anthocyanic shoulders, and displaying a yellow-pink-orange hue when cut open. The fruits are multi-chambered, fleshy, juicy, and oily, with a pleasant aroma and a distinct slightly acidic flavor, typically rated 4 points or higher on average. Each fruit weighs 170 to 200 grams.

The plant is determinate, with simple inflorescences and medium-sized green leaves. The peduncle has a joint, facilitating harvesting. The variety exhibits high yield potential: under plastic coverings, it produces up to 6.5 kg per square meter. Each cluster bears 6 to 7 fruits, further highlighting the variety’s productivity. REMBO is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic coverings, making it adaptable to various climatic conditions.

A key feature of this variety is its resistance to several diseases, including Tobacco Mosaic Virus (ToMV), nematodes, Fusarium wilt, and root rot, ensuring stable yields and reducing the need for intensive plant protection. The fruit flavor is sweet with fruity notes, making REMBO tomatoes an excellent choice for salads and fresh consumption. Thanks to their good transportability, the fruits retain their quality during transit, which is crucial for commercial cultivation.
