Additionally, under the name "Regent 20G" there is an effective insecticide designed to protect plants, including tomatoes, from soil pests. The active ingredient of the preparation is fipronil, which acts on the nervous system of insects by blocking gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors and causing insect death. The insecticide has contact and systemic action and retains its activity in the soil for 90-120 days, creating a protective barrier around seeds, roots, and young shoots.
The preparation is effective against a wide range of soil pests, such as larvae of the wireworm, beetles of the lucerne and clover, flat-headed beetles, and other dangerous insects. It is economical in use due to low doses and convenient granular formulation in the form of wood granules.
